Our Services It takes money to make money. Irritating cliché though it is, the statement is still true—especially when it comes to marketing activities. There are all kinds of direct costs related to marketing, not to mention the time resources needed to make those direct costs actually do something useful. 4-R Marketing knows how to get the most out of a marketing dollar (or pound or euro) and how to make the money spent on marketing really pay off in the form of new revenues. We specialize in four specific services marketing areas:
Marketing-Focused Copy Writing
Communication, communication, communication. Whether to bring in new customers or nurture and improve the relationships with the customers you already have, the key to success for a service company is communication. Your words have to convey your quality. Everything you say--on the web, in your e-mails, or in print--will be judged by your market. Your communication is your brand.
Do your words convey quality, reliability, expertise? Are you providing information that interest your readers, and that they can take away and use to their benefit? Does your material demonstrate your leading edge thinking? 4-R Marketing pairs service marketing expertise with outstanding copy writing talent. Contact us to discuss your copy writing needs and obtain samples from our extensive portfolio.

Project Management Most small/medium businesses don’t keep writers, graphic artists, and web designers on staff. These skill sets must be hired out to contractors, along with other services like public relations and event management. And these contractors need to be managed into an efficient and effective whole.
Marketing project management has its own special twist: It requires creativity as well as organization and follow through. Writers, graphic artists, and web designers are often more oriented toward art than toward business and need to be managed to optimize their talents without overextending budgets. Though it would be nice to be able to hand over the specs for a project to a specialist contractor, the chances of actually getting what is wanted for the desired price are pretty small. Whether it is in the role of proposal manager for a big opportunity, creative director for a brochure project, or event manager for a trade show exhibit or a special event, 4-R knows how to bring together art and business to meet the deadline, the budget, and the objectives. We create a detailed work breakdown structure, manage it through a disciplined governance process, and keep you informed of status on a regular basis. We also incorporate online project management tools, including a client dashboard that will give you status at a glance 24/7/365. What marketing projects or campaigns do
you need to launch?
You've heard of outsourcing, and you may have heard of insourcing. Now, 4-R brings trans-sourcing to the marketplace. As important as it is to business growth, the marketing function is often that last to be formally organized in a young enterprise. There are good reasons for this. For one, marketing is a purely overhead function that doesn't have the hard calendar stops of the other key overhead function (finance). For another, marketing is the voice of the company out in the world, so management needs to make sure that what it says is accurate and tailored to the right audiences. For these and other reasons, marketing is often managed directly by the CEO or business owner, or by the executive responsible for sales. Though one or other of these approaches work in certain circumstances, neither is appropriate in the long run. In any healthy, growing company there will come a time when a dedicated marketing resource--that is, a person who is directly and solely accountable for this function--is needed. Trouble is, this need often precedes the company's ability to bring the right talent in-house. Not only that, but there is no structure to bring that talent into. It's a greenfield situation. First, a structured program, plan, and strategy needs to be set up and set rolling. It needs to be tweaked and adjusted to produce the right results. Once established, the marketing function shifts into maintenance and improvement mode. The skills required to establish a marketing function from scratch are quite different from the skills needed to maintain and improve, and they rarely (if ever) reside in the same individual. Given the temporary nature of the former, it is best to have the in-house person skilled in the latter. But that person is not likely to be the best fit for the groundbreaking tasks needed to initially set up all the elements of an effective marketing function. The solution: trans-source the marketing function. Trans-sourcing bridges the gap between "no marketing program" and "proven marketing program." The engagement is for a finite period of time (a year is the recommended duration), and its purpose is to establish the marketing function within the company and then assist in the selection of and transition to and permanent in-house marketing manager. 4-R offers trans-sourcing services that fulfill the responsibilities and accountabilities of a full-time marketing director. We step up to produce marketing results that drive revenues while at the same time establishing the processes and procedures that make a good marketing department work. We "wean" marketing away from the CEO or VP who has been overseeing the function, and work with management to create the right performance metrics for the job. Do you need a dedicated marketing manager but can't yet afford to add a full time, salaried professional to the management team? Contact us to talk about how 4-R can bridge the gap and facilitate the transition of your marketing function to a full-fledged program.
The more successful your company gets, the more in demand your senior managers become. Speeches, presentations, articles, interviews, committee participation--there are any number of calls on your team's time that are important marketing opportunities but are not part of doing business on a day to day basis. While it may be difficult to find the time to participate in these necessary "extracurricular" activities, it can be close to impossible to find the time to prepare the materials needed to take part in them. This is where 4-R Marketing comes in. We have the right talent to serve as your voice on paper.
As your ghost writer, 4-R will match your voice, personality, and style in any communications to be published under your name. You can count on us every single time to deliver materials that you would have written yourself if you had had the time! Contact us to discuss how we can help you meet the deadlines for all those extracorporate activities you have committed to.
